  • NABI, or National Amateur Bowlers Inc., was started in 1982 to hold professionally run bowling tournaments for the average league bowler. These tournaments were to provide the excitement of pro-style competition with a cup of fun thrown in. These events are not designed for nor allow "scratch" caliber bowlers. Generally membership consists of bowlers averaging 135 to 195.
  • For reasonably low entry fees, amateur bowlers around the country can compete for large cash prizes. Unlike other handicap tournaments around, 100% of all prize money was to be paid out every weekend. There is no waiting to see if someone else beats your scores 4 months later. Since then, over 40 regional clubs were started in over half of the States around the USA. You never have to go far to find a NABI tournament. Our events are scheduled at different bowling centers each weekend. This helps to improve your game by learning to compete on a number of different lane conditions.
  • Over $80,000,000.00 has been won by NABI members since 1982.
  • A fair set of rules and regulations were established to ensure that everyone had an equal chance of winning. These rules are monitored and adjusted by the National Board of Directors. This makes sure that we keep up with changes in today's game. Men & women from 20 to 85+ years old, with averages from 135 to 200 have been winning our events over the past 25 years. Because we handicap at 90% instead of the customary 70 or 80%, everyone who enters our events has an equal chance of winning. Our unique "Plus Pin" system ensures that the same bowler isn't taking home all the money every weekend.

  • Your small annual membership dues allow you to choose from over 1,000 tournaments held around the country each year.
  • You can compete against complete strangers, without having to worry about "Baggers". Our National Computer Network maintains and monitors all of our members' averages. It ensures that all bowlers compete at an average that reflect their capabilities.
  • You can meet new friends with common interests almost every weekend. Although our events are competitive, you will find that our tournaments are designed to be fun and relaxing. You will be part of the largest bowling "FAMILY" in the country.
  • If you bowl in enough local tournaments, you qualify for NABI WEEK. Every summer, members from all over the country converge on Las Vegas for a week of fun, parties and competition. Ten different events are held, generating over $300,000.00 in prizes. This includes the $25,000 plus progressive that the winner of our National Championship receives each year.
  • Our events are sanctioned by the USBC. This adds extra protection for our members, and allows them to receive their honor score awards.
